C., pl.), Hp.Art.5,78, Plb.1.22.7, PRyl.167.14 (pl., i A.D.), Luc.Philops.35, Poll.1.245, 7.107, 10.114, EM779.48; whereas none of the other passages in which the word occurs prove anything about the gender, except Hes. l.c.; whence it has been suggested that τρίπηχυ should be read there, and ὕπερον, τό, received as the only form.
